Decision No.07-TTg of January 3, 1997 of the Prime Minister to set up the National Executive Board of the Global Environmental Fund of Vietnam (GEF-Vietnam for short). The permanent office of the GEF-Vietnam is located at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.

The Chairman of the GEF-Vietnam shall be a Vice Minister of Science, Technology and Environment. Other members of the GEF-Vietnam shall be representatives of the Office of the Government, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection.- (Summary)
