Directive No.487-TTg of July 3, 1997 on organization and operation of the War Veterans’ Association in administrative and non-business agencies and State enterprises.

The Prime Minister instructs the heads of administrative and non-business agencies, State enterprises to direct and facilitate the establishment of organizations of the War Veterans’ Association in their respective agencies and units; to provide necessary conditions for its operations as for other mass socio-political organizations. The Government Commission on Organization and Personnel shall coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association in providing guidance on the organizational structure and operation; the Ministry of Finance shall guide the application of regime, policy towards the officials and operation fund of the Association in the above-said agencies in accordance with the current regulations.-
